Tal Alexander, who rose to fame following a series of luxury real estate transactions, has stepped down from a brokerage firm he co-founded following allegations of sexual assault.

His decision to step down from the brokerage comes more than a week after a lawsuit filed in a New York state court accused Tal and his brothers of participating in a "coordinated sexual assault" in the fall of 2012. The lawsuit was filed by Angelica Parker.

"Ms. Parker was raped by Alon and Tal Alexander, together, in a coordinated sexual assault that was planned and facilitated by Oren Alexandar along with his brothers. Specifically, Alon Alexander orally and vaginally raped Ms. Parker," the suit read. "While he was vaginally raping Ms. Parker, Tal proceeded to forcibly orally rape Ms. Parker against her will, despite her very clear verbal protests and inability to force him away on account of both her size and the fact Alon was holding her down with his body weight."

Tal's decision to step down from the position was "mutual," Deanna Paul, Tal's attorney, told Business Insider.

"Given the salacious nature of this false allegation and impact on Official, Tal and his partners have decided he will take a leave from the company," the attorney said.

Paul also noted that Tal is seeking to move the lawsuit against him from a New York state civil court to a federal court.

"Tal is eager for the case to be heard in federal court as soon as possible and rejoin the Official team in short order," Paul added.

Lawsuits Against the Alexander Brothers

One of Tal's younger siblings, Oren, was previously pushed out of Official after he and their third brother, Alon, were accused of raping two women more than a decade ago. In one lawsuit, Oren and Tal were accused of drugging and assaulting a woman in Manhattan. In another, they were accused of assaulting a different woman at a party mansion in the Hamptons. Tal was not named in either lawsuit.

Since those lawsuits were filed, nearly 30 other women have come forward to make similar accusations against the Alexander brothers.
