Alex Cooper, the host of the hit podcast "Call Her Daddy," revealed she brought her parents a new home after securing a $125 million deal with SiriusXM.
Cooper revealed the news in a Christmas Day episode of "Call Her Daddy." In it, she said her parents are now moving from her childhood home in Pennsylvania to a new home in Los Angeles that she purchased for them.
"To be able to go to my parents this past summer ... and be like, 'I want to buy you guys a house, and I want to do this for you. And I'm so excited to be able to do this for you, and I want nothing in return," she said on Wednesday's podcast.
Cooper noted that her parents cried after she announced her new purchase and added that it "meant so much" that she was able to repay her parents for supporting her dreams of playing collegiate soccer at Boston University.
"[It was] the least I could f-king do," Cooper added.
Despite having already bought the home, Cooper said the house is still undergoing renovations and won't be move-in ready until sometime next year.
Settling the Deal with SiriusXM
The purchase comes after Cooper signed a multi-year deal with SiriusXM, which is believed to be worth around $125 million. The contract will encompass exclusive programming from Cooper that will roll out beginning in 2025, per Variety.
The deal will replace Cooper's contract with Spotify as her distribution partner, which she inked back in 2021. That said, her podcast episodes will continue to be available to Spotify listeners.
In addition to the deal, Cooper also launched The Unwell Network, her own talent firm. The company is home to other Gen Z-focused podcasts from hosts like Grace O'Malley.
