The series, including its showrunners, continue to remain hopeful that the show will be renewed for Season 4 in another network. Will Netflix pick up the Kevin Bacon-led series?
"The Following" Season 4 renewal still remains uncertain, despite several reports claiming that the Fox series has been picked up by another network. The Kevin Bacon-led series was initially rumored to have found its new home in the likes of the online streaming service, Hulu.
The report about the renewal of "The Following" on Hulu sparked hope in the hearts and minds of many of the show's avid fans and viewers, especially because the online streaming service has recently picked up on another cancelled series, "The Mindy Project." The site, however, refuted such reports and denied having any plans of renewing "The Following" in their network, Master Herald reported.

While the show's renewal remains uncertain, actor Kevin Bacon, who plays the lead role in the series, thanked fans for their support on Twitter.
"Big love to all of our loyal fans. It's been an honor to work for you. Sweat, tears, and lots of Blood! Enjoy the final four #THEFOLLOWING," Bacon wrote.
