"Castle" Season 8 will see the return of former cast members, but the series will also introduce new faces. ABC recently announced the casting of a security specialist named Hayley and is currently looking for an African-American or Hispanic actress in her late 20's to fill in the role, Carter Matt cited.

Fans began wondering about the addition of the new character in the series and why a security specialist was needed in "Castle" Season 8. The outlet initially cited several explanations for the role including the possibility that Hayley will be joining Castle and the rest of the team after working on a case together.

The outlet also considered the possibility of hiring Hayley as Kate's own security detail after deciding to run for senate. Fans are also looking into the possibility that Hayley could be a new villain in the series based on the network's description of her character.

Such rumors, however, were immediately dispelled following another round of spoilers from Matt Webb Mitovich of TV Line. Mitovich hinted that Hayley will be spending more time with Rick rather than with Kate.

"As Season 8 gets underway, Rick will be spending a lot of time with Hayley #JustTheMessenger," Mitovich wrote.

This news immediately sparked speculations among fans that Hayley might get in between their well-loved Casket in "Castle" Season 8. It may also be interesting to see a love triangle take place in the ABC police procedural drama and see how the addition of Hayley could change the dynamics between Castle and Beckett.
