"Fifty Shades Darker" is one of the most anticipated sequels following the release of "Fifty Shades of Grey" earlier this year. While there have been several reports claiming that Jamie Dornan, who plays Christian Grey, will go full frontal in the movie adaptation of E.L. James' second book, the film's costume designer believes that leaving things to the viewers' imagination can be hotter and sexier.
"Fifty Shades Darker," the sequel to the movie adaptation of E.L. James' book series, "Fifty Shades of Grey" has been slated for a 2017 release in theatres. The sequel will see the return of Jamie Dornan as the brooding and dark CEO, Christian Grey and Dakota Johnson as Anastasia Steele.
While there are still no updates on the movie aside from the release date of the sequel and the reprisal of roles of Dornan and Johnson, there are ongoing speculations that Dornan will go full frontal in "Fifty Shades Darker." The 33-year-old actor has been allegedly offered $1.5 million to do a full frontal scene in the upcoming sequel, Venture Capital Post noted.
Some fans' anticipation for "Fifty Shades Darker" grew even more after hearing this news, however, others believe that Dornan should leave things to the viewers' imagination. "Fifty Shades of Grey" costume designer Mark Bridges seemingly shares the latter opinion and hints that things will be kept that way in the sequel.
"I don't need it all spelled out for me, things left to the imagination are better. But the people who are involved in the later films must know something I don't know," he said, according to The Stir.
Jamie Dornan going full frontal in "Fifty Shades Darker" is one of the few details in the sequel that are yet to be confirmed. The upcoming sequel is still without its director after Sam Taylor-Johnson announced her departure from the project.
"Fifty Shades Darker" premieres on Feb. 10, 2017.
