"Divergent: Allegiant" stars Theo James and Shailene Woodley share an undeniable chemistry on screen. It really isn't surprising that rumors are brewing about a secret relationship between the two stars even though the two are involved in their own relationships. What makes their onscreen chemistry tick despite not having an intimate relationship in real life?
"People love that they support one another so much and respect one another. It's sexier to see a couple that aren't all over each other," Shailene Woodley told Glamour Magazine about Tris and Four's relationship on the "Divergent" series.
Woodley, who stars in the upcoming sequel, "Allegiant" as Tris revealed that her character knows exactly who she is and what she is capable of, which means that she does not need anyone else to validate her. The 23-year-old actress explained that the "TrisFour" relationship is special because they go out of their way to support each other.
James, who plays the role of Four, seemed to share the same sentiments about their characters in the movie. The 30-year-old actor described Tris and Four's relationship as "two people in love but broken by the situation they're in."
"They go from a burgeoning love story to two people genuinely in love," he said.
Meanwhile, James' breakthrough performances in "Divergent" and "Insurgent" has opened a lot of doors for him in the filming industry, LA Times noted.
James, who took philosophy at the University of Nottingham, entered the world of acting five years ago. James first starred in the movie, "You Will Meet a Tall, Dark Stranger" until he landed a role in Hollywood in the movie, "Underworld: The Awakening."
James revealed that various roles and opportunities came in after he appeared in "Divergent" but he admitted that he is cautious of the roles he will be taking in the future.
"It's easy to be wooed by what comes easy and the glamorous ones, those kinds of projects, whereas I was pretty sure I wanted to, at least for three or four years, be very specific with what I do and do small stuff," he added.
