The shocking finale of "Game of Thrones" Season 5 has excited the fans out there, anticipating when Season 6 will hype up the screen once more. Fret no more as Season 6 is coming its way under the direction of Jeremy Podeswa, Daniel Sackheim, Jack Bender, Mark Mylod, and Miguel Sapochnick.
There has been several speculations as how Season 6 for "The Game of Thrones" will play out. Although no one can ascertain that Jon Snow will appear alive despite his death in Season 5, at least now we know who will be sitting on the director's chair to formulate another season worth anticipating for.
According to Time, five directors have been revealed to continue the production of "Game of Thrones" Season 6. Among them is Jeremy Podeswa who is set to direct the first two episodes of the upcoming season. Podeswa has directed Showtime's "Tudors" and HBO's "Boardwalk Empire". He then, again, returns to "Game of Thrones" for his second year in a row. For the fifth season, Podeswa was behind the scenes for "Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken" and "Kill the Boy" episodes.
Second on the list is Daniel Sackheim. He is set to direct the third and fourth installment for the sixth season, his first time on the series. He has been the associate producer for the 1980s classic "Miami Vice" and has directed episodes for "The X-Files", "Lie to Me", and "House".
The third director to join the "Game of Thrones" production is Jack Bender, due to direct the fifth and sixth episodes of Season 6. He was the director for 38 episodes of ABC's "Lost", CBS' "Under the Dome", TNT's "The Last Ship" and Fox's "Alcatraz'. He, too, is directing for the first time on this series.
Mark Mylod is the fourth director tasked for episode seven and eight for the "Game of Thrones" sixth season. He has been the director for Showtime's "Shameless" and HBO's "Entourage". He has participated in the series beforehand directing episodes "High Sparrow" and "Sons of the Harpy".
Last on the list is Miguel Sapochnik. According to IGN, he is tasked at directing the final two episodes of the sixth season. He has made his mark on the series for being the director for last season's "Hardhome" which showed Jon Snow battling his way half the time during the said episode. Furthermore, he was also the director for the episode "The Gift".
