"Real Housewives of Atlanta" may have lost one of its lead stars after NeNe Leakes announced her departure from the Bravo reality series, but the show will see the return of a former 'RHOA' star in the person of Porsha Williams. Who will be replacing NeNe in Season 8?
Bravo has not yet officially introduced the cast of "RHOA" Season 8, but ongoing rumors and speculations about returning cast members and new faces to join the reality series are already making rounds on the Internet. While the "Real Housewives of Atlanta" will be returning for Season 8 without NeNe Leakes, the network is said to be looking into casting Shereé Whitfield and Kim Fields to fill in the shoes of one of the show's vets, OK! Magazine reported.
"RHOA" Season 8 will also see the return of Porsha Williams, who has been previously booted out of the series in Season 7.
"Porsha is getting her peach back. They see her much more as an asset now than in previous seasons," an insider told the outlet.
Their source added that Porsha will be joining returning cast members Phaedra Parks, Kenya Moore, Kandi Buruss and Cynthia Bailey. Claudia Jordan and Demetria McKinney, however, did not seem to appeal to the audience, as the two housewives have been booted out of the series.
Meanwhile,"Real Housewives of Atlanta" star Cynthia Bailey recently opened up on NeNe's exit from the reality series.
"You know, I wasn't surprised because I used to be very close to NeNe so I knew that at some point, she wanted to do other things and rightfully so because I think she has had a great run on the show," Cynthia told E! News.
Cynthia also revealed that she is excited to see who will be the new housewife to join them for "RHOA" Season 8.
"I don't know who yet but whoever you are, please audition for the 'Real Housewives of Atlanta.' We need you," she said.
