"Castle" Season 8 is just nearly two months away from returning to the small screens. While Nathan Fillion, Stana Katic and the rest of the cast and crew of the ABC police procedural drama have yet to get back on set and film scenes for the eighth season, the stars recently expressed their thoughts on the upcoming season.
Katic hosted a Q&A portion with her fans on Twitter and answered several questions about "Castle" Season 8.
The 37-year-old actress admitted that she does not know a lot about the upcoming season of "Castle" yet to give away interesting spoilers and hints for fans. Katic, however, revealed that she leaves it all in the hands of its new showrunners, Alexi Hawley and Terence Paul Winter.
"I don't know enough about it 2tease. Just happy @AlexiHawley & @OldManWinter14 are @ the helm & trust their vision," the actress wrote.
Katic also admitted that she will miss her co-star Penny Johnson Jerald and expressed hope to work with Jerald in another project in the future. Jerald was one of the cast members who were suddenly booted out of the ABC series. Jerald played the role of Captain Victoria Gates and has starred in the series since 2011, THR reported.
Meanwhile, Nathan Fillion recently reassured fans that they have nothing to worry about in the upcoming season of "Castle" The 44-year-old actor said that change is necessary "in order for a show to continue and move forward."
"Castle" Season 8 premieres on Sept. 21 on ABC.
