The Warner Bros. Pictures President Worldwide Marketing and International Distribution Sue Kroll said in a statement that the studio and its anti-piracy team have labored diligently for the last 48 hours just to contain the "Suicide Squad" footage that has been pirated on Saturday from Hall H. However, she said that they were not able to realize that goal. "Today we will release the same footage that has been illegally circulating on the web, in the form it was created and high quality with which it was intended to be enjoyed," Krull added. It is the desire of the studio to keep the video clip a unique experience for the Comic-Con audience.
Kroll told Deadline that the leakage was a "breach of trust". The studios and filmmakers were asked if they think that the Comic-Con organizers didn't do their job well as to restricting the attendees in pirating footages, but none made a comment about it.
