Breakfast Meals Are Going To Be Available All-Day-Round at McDonald's This October

McDonald's is stepping up the game and wants to implement breakfast meals to be available the whole time of the day. With this, they will be able to have more economies of scope but would require more labor force to practice this new strategy.

McDonald's is one of the leading fast food chains, not only in the United States, but worldwide as well. According to People, the company itself is planning to implement the breakfast meals to be available even for lunch and dinner at all its restaurant chains. This new marketing strategy will be observed come October of this year.

Before this announcement was made, the company already started to test the concept at their San Diego and Nashville branches last March. When this was applied, many of their customers urged the company to make it available throughout the day.

Before the announcement was made, McDonald's customers could only enjoy the McDonald's signature breakfast meals such as the breakfast burrito, Egg McMuffin, nd the McGriddies breakfast sandwich until mid-ten in the morning during weekdays and at eleven in the morning on weekends.

According to Forbes, when this strategy will be implemented by the company, they will be able to garner more economies of scope. Also, adding more products to varied lunch and dinner meals would also serve as a competitive advantage in the market since Taco Bell is only able to provide the breakfast meals no later than eleven in the morning.

Despite this new type of marketing strategy for McDonald's to up their sales in the market, this move could still serve as a disadvantage to them too. If they were to implement a larger menu, they would also need more workforce to produce these products throughout the day on top of the other standard meals being served all the time.

By bringing breakfast meals to customers even after standard breakfast time, McDonald's could either pay higher wages to their labor force to be able to provide the customers the said products on time and without delay. Do you think, then, that this strategy is worth the extra effort on the part of McDonald's? Do you think that customers would be more drawn to eat at their fast food chains when this is implemented?
