Famous female comedian Amy Schumer and her cousin Senator Chuck Schumer are pairing up together and gaining momentum as they try to advocate gun control to the world. One other news, Amy also recently enjoyed a short vacation with new-found friend Jennifer Lawrence at the Hamptons.
According to New York Times, there surfaced a new banner which is directed at doing efforts to stop gun violence in the State. The famous comedian and star of the "Trainwreck" Amy Schumer was contacted by her senator cousin Chuck Schumer to address the recent tragedy that happened in Louisiana. Apparently, a shooter went off and shot two young women and wounded nine others just because he had the capacity to use his gun out in the open.
During the comedian's screening event last Monday, she revealed that her cousin Chuck called her once and said: "Hi Amy, this is Cousin Chuck". Right then and there, Amy responded with: "I hope you're going to ask me to do something with you on gun control." Clearly, the two strongly believe that the tragic shooting which shook the State needs the added attention and promote gun control. The Schumers are truly set to make the State better by addressing the one problem that promotes violence in the country to date.
Since the conversation, the Schumers pledged to consolidate their efforts in eradicating gun violence. During a news conference last Monday, Amy addressed her participation in the campaign saying that she doesn't know why people choose to harm others but strongly believes that knowing how (enabling people like the shooters to have access to guns) should be acted upon.
Consequently, Chuck also called on the Justice Department to enable incentives and penalties for States that refuse to provide records into the background check system concerning guns.
On other news, Vanity Fair reports that Amy, despite her strong support to eradicate gun control, enjoyed a summer vacation with Jennifer Lawrence last week at the Hamptons. During an interview with The Daily Show last Monday, Amy said that she and Lawrence were able to become friends because she was due to spend an annual summer vacation with her high-school friends and Lawrence was able to crash it.
