20th Century Fox's new superhero is turning out to be quite an unconventional and fresh movie character for the studio. Deadpool is known to be a hero that is not quite the typical superhero. And true to form, the "Merc with a Mouth" crashed the trailer of the "Fantastic Four" movie to hype up his own film.
According to the site BGR, the latest "Fantastic Four" trailer featured a long clip showing the young Richard Reed killing the electricity in his neighborhood, the four heroes demonstrating their powers and a sneak peek of Doctor Doom. Once the footage ends, that's when Deadpool reportedly makes his appearance, reminding everyone that a not so racy and violent version of the trailer will be unveiled ahead of the "Fantastic Four" movie release.
The site continued that a red band trailer version for "Deadpool" debuted on "Conan" last Tuesday, while the green band trailer will be seen in movie theaters prior the start of the "Fantastic Four" movie.
Meanwhile, Slashfilm was able to view the "Deadpool" red band trailer and reports that it was mostly the movie clip that was featured during the film's Comic Con panel in San Diego. The highly applauded video was quickly bootlegged, its copy spreading illegally to various sites, soon after its Comic Con debut. The site continued to describe the trailer as something fans will definitely enjoy, especially with the foul-mouthed and blood-spattered action shown in Marvel's superhero film.
The site was also able to view a green band version of the "Deadpool" trailer and shared that it is "pretty much exactly what we saw at Comic-Con, but with a few edits made here and there." BGR added that the studio cut out Stan Lee's hilarious cameo in the trailer, as well as an exchange between Deadpool and Negasonic Teenage Warhead. Despite the cuts, the trailer still looks cool and interesting. Something that movie fanatics and "Deadpool" fans will surely appreciate.
"Green Lantern" actor Ryan Reynolds plays the titular "Merc with a Mouth.'' Other cast members includes Morena Baccarin, Ed Skrein, T.J. Miller, Gina Carano, and Brianna Hildebrand. The film is directed by Tim Miller.
"Deadpool" is scheduled to hit movie theaters on February 12, 2016.
