"The "Droughtlander" is real for most fans of the Starz time traveler series and Diana Gabaldon's books, as fans still have at least a couple of months of waiting to do before the series returns on TV. While many fans were expecting for the announcement of the Season 2 premiere of "Outlander" during the 2015 San Diego Comic-Con, many were left second-guessing in its release date.
Showrunner Ron Moore and actors Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe were mum about details of the show's premiere date during the event, but a recently released report from Carter Matt showed a possible release date for Season 2. The outlet noted that "Black Sails," which precedes "Outlander," will possibly be released in January.
"Power" Season 3, on the other hand, will come right after "Outlander," which gives the time traveler series a possible premiere on March 19, 2016. That is, if, Starz releases "Black Sails" on Jan. 9; however, if the network releases the show on a much later week, then the Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe-led series will possibly air on April 2.
Meanwhile, Caitriona Balfe recently admitted to Blastr that she is experiencing "a little of discomfort" as her character enters a completely different setting.
"We were so used to playing in this gritty Scottish mud. Everything was very muted with the wools. Now all of a sudden we're in these luxurious apartments and grand houses," she said.
