'The Simpsons' Season 27 Spoilers: Will Bart Outplay Skinner in Winning 'Modern Family' Sofia Vergara Over?

"The Simpsons," now in its 27th season, is once again going to be rolling. "Modern Family" star Sofia Vergara will be the season's most awaited guest.

"The Simpsons" was known to include the voice of prominent media celebrities, so it does not come as a surprise that this season incorporates a few famous guest personalities such as David Copperfield, Kristen Bell, Lena Dunham, Kelsey Grammer, Nick Kroll, Blake Anderson, Edward James Olmos, Yo-Yo Ma, and "Modern Family" star Sofia Vergara. Reports say that the Colombian-American actress would be the voice of Ms. Berrera, a middle school teacher.

Vergara will appear towards the middle of the "The Simpsons" Season 27, in the episode entitled "Teenage Mutant Milk-Caused Hurdles." Ms. Berrera is Bart's gorgeous new teacher with whom he will fall in love with after accidentally drinking a milk substitute filled with bad hormones and causing him to experience early puberty, Entertainment Weekly reported.

Reports also say that principal Seymour Skinner will also take notice of Vergara's character, Screen Rush said.

"The Simpsons" screenwriter and executive producer, Al Jean, said in an interview that the episode plot is intentional and a direct result of the writers' curiosity on how a romantic rivalry between Bart and Skinner would play out. The show's creator further explained how they reflected on the idea of both Bart and Skinner liking the same woman and they thought it would be interesting.

"The Simpsons" team has not confirmed if Vergara would be a regular cast, but Jean hinted the possibility of it happening.

The long-standing animated sitcom, "The Simpsons," has been on air for over two decades now, yet the family TV show never fails to touch millions of fans, especially those who grew up watching it.

"The Simpsons" Season 27 is scheduled to premiere on Fox this coming Sept. 27.
