LG device's leaked image revealed that one of the upcoming Nexus devices is a follow up of its previous model, which was released in 2013. It will be named "LG Nexus 5."
Google is said to announce their two new Nexus devices, as well as the latest version of Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system soon. According to reports, one of them is given a codename "Bullhead."
The upcoming Google Nexus devices became the subject of interesting leaks over these past few months. Therefore, many were not shocked when a photo of the LG Nexus 5 appeared online. The device's alleged photograph showed up through an unnamed Indonesian user's Google+ page, The Verge reported. However the said post has since been removed and is no longer available.
LG Nexus 5's leaked photo contained some remarkable details such as a label, which can be a sign that the device is not available for selling. Reports also mentioned one particular feature, which many people believe to be a fingerprint scanner.
Meanwhile, several people who stumbled upon the supposed LG Nexus 5 leaked image did not think that the photo was actually that of the LG Nexus 5. As numerous fans have pointed out, the handset in the photo looked just like it was only a concept model. Its presentation of physical features appeared more like a concept device than a real prototype of the LG Nexus 5.
The device in the leaked image does not seem to follow LG's standard of design for its smartphone lineup, Android Police pointed out. Moreover, it appeared to be different from the previous Nexus models, which the company manufactured two years prior.
Meanwhile, another Nexus device is also reported to already be in the works. This upcoming device, Huawei Nexus 6, is rumored to feature a bigger display and therefore will possibly fall under the phablet category.
