Alicia Keys & Swizz Beatz have listed their family mansion in New Jersey. The Hollywood couple is selling the real estate property for $14.9 million because the house seems small for them.
NJ Com reports that the Englewood Mansion of Alicia Keys and husband Swizz Beatz is already too small to small to accommodate their art collection. The 25,000 square foot home has 32 rooms, but still it doesn't have enough space for the said collection, so the couple is now looking for a new place that is spacious enough for their expensive hobby.
According to the report, this traditionally-styled mansion was bought in 2013 for $10.4 million. The property has an impressive amenities like an indoor swimming pool, racquetball court, and a two-lane bowling alley. The Englewood mansion also has 2 elevators and a music studio.
The mansion has a major renovation to cater to their art collection, thus it has an art gallery wing. Their art collection are mostly from modern and contemporary artists like Jean-Michel Basquiat, Keith Haring, and Andy Warhol.
This traditionally-styled mansion is listed under Zillow. The entire compound has an area of 5.42 acre. As of 2014, the taxes paid was $226,913.
In a separate report of Zillow, this property was previously owned by Eddie Murphy. Aside from the above-mentioned amenities, this mansion comes with carriage house with a gym plus a-car garage that could accommodate 5 cars.
This news has been reported first by TMZ. In its report, it says that the massive estate in New Jersey has 8 bedrooms and a movie theater. But since there are no enough walls to showcase their collection, producer Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys are looking for new digs to display all their collection of art works. Swizz, who is now an avid collector of art, calls his collection as "Eight Acres of Showtime." By the nickname itself, a 5.42 acre property is surely not enough to display all the artworks.
