"Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" open beta was finally made available last Aug. 19, earlier than the original schedule which was supposed to be Sunday. For those who are lucky to get in, they will get a limited-edition theme for the PlayStation 4. The theme is said to represent the franchise's much awaited Zombie mode.
Official "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" statement was posted on Facebook explaining that gamers who played in the beta event for "Call of Duty" will be rewarded with an official theme for their PS4 console. The post also claimed that there is no code of any kind required to get the theme, so it should be pretty simple.
"Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" fans must first pre-order the beta to be able to play the game, GameSpot previously reported. However, Treyarch announced Saturday that the multiplayer beta will be open to the public, so that those who didn't get the chance to pre-order the game will still have access to the beta, provided that they are playing on the PS4 platform.
"Call of Duty" gamers playing with the Microsoft PC and Xbox will also be able to try out the game as their public beta testing is scheduled from Aug. 26 to Aug. 30. Activision or Treyarch has yet to confirm whether or not PC and Xbox users also get to receive the theme just as the PS4 players, but it is believed that fans can expect the same for the mentioned platforms.
The "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" beta will have three multiplayer-based maps to select from, and seven game modes, one of which is the famous "Demolition mode" first introduced in "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2."
"Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" is slated for release on Nov. 6, 2015, for all three platforms, PlayStation 4, Windows PC and the Xbox One.
