Josh Duggar's disreputable past and his current involvement with the Ashley Maddison scandal is taking its toll not only on him but is also having a domino effect to other members of his family.
Finally, his sister Jill has broken her silence and has appealed for fans to "Pray for Our Family" last Monday, according to radaronline.com. The 24-year-old Jill has posted an update on the family blog.
"August has been a busy month for us and as so many of you know it has ended on a sad note for my extended family," she wrote. She was clearly referring to the scandal surrounding her brother Josh who has been tied earlier to the cheating website Ashley Madison and the recent shocking revelation of a porn star.
"Please do pray for our family. We are so thankful for God's grace during difficult days," Jill appealed.
According to radaronline.com, the post followed Jill's appearance on a TLC sex abuse awareness special Sunday. She is reported to be one of Josh's molestation victims together with the other sister, Jessa Seewald, who is also receiving negative reactions from various groups. She said she received comfort from the testimonials shared by survivors of sex abuse. In reference to this she said, "It's amazing to understand that there are so many people that deal with this exact same thing in their own families. So just being educated is very good."
Her closing words in the blog are, "Thank y'all for continuing to pray for us! We will keep the updates coming and will try to do so with more frequency so keep checking our website for more! We are so grateful for your partnership and friendship as we work to bring many to Christ in Central America!"
Meanwhile, Jessa seems to have turned her back on her brother publicly for the first time since the scandal broke. She posted on her Facebook page a blog written by her father-in-law Michael Seewald who called her brother a "hypocritical Christian," according to People.
