According to a previous article posted by Gamespot, " Developer NetherRealm will hold its next :Kombat Kast" livestream event during which the Chicago-based studio plans to reveal the latest "news & clues" about 'Mortal Kombat X'."
As the fans try to find ways to learn more about what will occur next, it seems information is not fully disclosed. According to a recent article by ubergizmo, " Boon posted a photo of a moon which can only assume alludes to whatever they are planning on announcing and the fans, such as the gamers can only imagine that the news is about reversing the decision about bringing Mortal Kombat X onto last-gen consoles."
There has been minor setbacks as to the development of the game which is why it is affecting the fans worldwide. Just recently, Warner Bros. announced that it had canceled the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of Mortal Kombat X, which were in development at High Voltage Software, not NetherRealm as stated in a previous report by Gamespot.
Mortal Kombat X was basically set for a launch on last-gen consoles but its release was later on hampered as of the summer of 2015 before Warner Bros. made a decision to outright cancel it.
