Hollywood couple Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck will push through with their divorce plans despite attending a two-hour marathon marriage counseling session earlier this week.
According to RadarOnline.com, the two are calling off their plans for reconciliation and were merely hashing out the last of their messy issues.
“Jennifer knew there were issues on the table that needed to be discussed with their marriage counselor,” a source revealed, according to People Magazine. “Ben had no problem with going. He knew it was important after all of the issues that came up while they were in Atlanta.”
Affleck also reportedly admitted having a relationship with the kid's nanny, Christine Ouzounian, before they had left for Atlanta. It was also clarified that Ouzounian's stay at the Hotel Bel Air was Garner's decision until the press died down.
“Jen doesn’t care who Ben dates or hooks up with,” the source added. “She just doesn’t want the kids to be asking any questions about it. There is no chance Jen and Ben will get back together and she finally feels that she deserves to be happy without him.”
The pair have three children — Violet, 7, Seraphina, 4, and Samuel, 20 months. They are doing the best they can for the sake of the children. The family spent time together this summer while Garner was filming "Miracles From Heaven" in Atlanta and had a family trip to Disney World to celebrate Affleck's 43rd birthday.
IB Times reported that the former lovers are determined to remain friends “not just for the kids,” but because “they care about each other.”
Affleck has moved out of the family house and has been staying in the guest quarters. Currently, he is living in a Pacific Palisades home while the kids are staying with Garner, TMZ reported.
Meanwhile, according to the source, Garner said that “not having to be Ben’s mother has been a huge relief, and she is finally able to focus on her life.”
