We are still enjoying the summer, but winter is coming. HBO's fantasy drama "Game of Thrones" has recently announced the latest actor to join its cast: English actor Freddie Stroma. Stroma is known as Cormac McLaggen from the "Harry Potter" movies, the student who competes with Ron for the Quidditch keeper spot. He is currently appearing on Lifetime Channel's hit series, "unReal."
In the next season of "Game of Thrones," Stroma will be playing Dickon Tarly, Sam Tarly's younger brother. Little is known about the character, except that he is stronger and more masculine than Sam, and is favored by their father to be his heir. Dickon only played a minor part in the published books, but with Stroma now joining the cast, this could mean that the character, as well as Sam's, will be getting more exposure in the "Winds of Winter."
As we are still months away from season six, HBO and the show's producers have been mum about details, and fan theories abound. Here's what we know so far, based on the new cast members that have been announced:
Max Von Sydow has been tapped to play the Three-Eyed Raven, so Brandon Stark, who was a no-show in season five, will most likely be appearing again. If so, that means we shall be seeing Hodor again as well.
The Iron Islands will get more exposure in the show. Danish actor Pilou Asbek has been confirmed to play Euron Greyjoy, Theon's uncle.
British actors Ian McShane and Richard E. Grant are also new additions, but their roles are still unknown. Fans are speculating that either could be playing Randy Tarly, Sam and Dickon's father.
As for Jon Snow, he remains to be the show's biggest secret.
"Game of Thrones" season six will be premiering in April next year.
