Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart may have long been broken up as a couple, but the "Twilight" stars are almost always inseparable in headlines. A recent report claims that the 29-year-old actor chose to skip the Venice Film Festival in order to avoid any chance at bumping into his ex-girlfriend, KStew. Is he jealous of Stewart's rumored marriage to girlfriend Alicia Cargile?
Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson immediately became household names after appearing in the movie adaptation of Stephanie Meyer's "The Twilight Saga." While things went from reel to real between RPatz and KStew, their relationship eventually hit a bump and ended in a breakup.
Pattinson and Stewart have seemingly moved on with their lives and are already dating other people. Pattinson is currently engaged to FKA Twigs while Stewart is with her girlfriend, Alicia Cargile. While everything seems well between the former couple, a recent report from Page Six (via Celeb Dirty Laundry) hints that Pattinson skipped the Venice Film Festival to avoid Stewart.
"He didn't want the story to be all about how he and Kristen were nearly bumping into each other. Venice is very small ... and there are only so many parties and hotels," a source said.
Following this report, several speculations arose among Robsten and Twihard fans, including the possibility that Pattinson is jealous of recent claims that Stewart and Cargile have secretly tied the knot. This also coincides with rumors that Pattinson and Twigs have called their engagement off.
However, Pattinson's absence from the event does not have anything to do with Stewart at all! Vanity Fair pointed out that things will never be over between Pattinson and Stewart no matter how both stars appear happy with their new lives. The outlet noted that Pattinson is currently busy filming his upcoming movie, "The Lost City of Z" in Ireland, which is an excusable reason for skipping the event.
"They can date other women, they can give interviews about their new lives, they can grow up and change and thrive, but they will always be stuck together," the publication pointed out.
