"Metal Gear Solid V" is now available for all.
The highly anticipated fifth installment of the action video game, "Metal Gear Solid V" is finally available for all players. However, the IP's publisher, Konami, has reportedly found a terrible bug in the new game which corrupts the stored files and then destroys the progress made by gamers.
Konami has released an official statement, informing the people regarding the disruptive bug they have found in the game. PC Gamer reported on Sept. 8. The company explained that when the gamer acquires Quiet and saved the game afterwards, the data will be corrupted and the entire progress made will be erased.
Konami explained in their public statement, "In 'METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN' which was released on Sept. 1, there is a possibility that the game stops progress if having Quiet as a buddy while playing either "Mission 29" or "Mission 42,".
"Metal Gear Solid V" game is considerably longer and so if the stored files get corrupted, gamers will have to play through the whole story again in order to return to their current progress, which is a complete hindrance in finishing "MGS V."
Fortunately, Konami incorporated a solution for the issue and it is apparently quite obvious. The publisher instructed, "This situation can be avoided by not using Quiet as a buddy while playing either "Mission 29" or "Mission 42,".
Konami further mentioned in their statement the fact that each platform compatible with the game is impacted. Specifically, the statement cited that the bug exists in the last gen consoles, Xbox 360 PlayStation 3, next gen consoles Xbox One PlayStation 4, and the PC platform.
Konami has not yet provided any information regarding the release of the update for the stored file corruption bug affecting the "Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain."
"Metal Gear Solid V" players will have to be patient and wait for further news.
