'X-Men: Apocalypse' Movie Updates: 'Oscar Isaac' as the Villain Apocalypse is Perfect

The latest X-Men installment "X-Men: Apocalypse" is not due until the new year but several spoilers have already hinted what the audience will expect from the movie's plot: some of these are the lead characters such as Quicksilver and Oscar Isaac, AKA Apocalypse, appearing with a greyish-blue ensemble instead of the comic books' purple version.

As reported by Parent Herald, the actors to participate in the upcoming "X-Men: Apocalypse" installment of the sequel are Oscar Isaac as the lead character or villain, Michael Fassbender as Magneto, Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique, and Nicholas Hoult as Beast.

However, recent reports indicated that other characters will join the Marvel superheroes such as Quicksilver, Magneto's son and newbies such as Alexandra Shipp, Sophie Turner, Tye Sheridan, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Lana Condor, Ben Hardy, Olivia Munn and many more.

During an interview, the actor who landed the lead role, Isaac, was interviewed about how he found his role in "X-Men" was like. He stated, "With 'X-Men' it was great because there's an embodiment of such big ideas; you're not working in the realm of naturalism. And just because something's natural doesn't mean that it's interesting- and I think Kubrick knew that very well."

He added, "You have these forms that express more than just an individual's personality. And that's been really fun to play with in 'X-Men'."

As Comic Book Movie reported, Isaac's character, Apocalypse, was recently revealed in a footage this week. In fact, as fans would anticipate him to be colored violet, he appeared greyish blue in the said leaked picture from the film. Furthermore, the source indicated that Apocalypse looked way better in the leaked footage than that of the comic books.

On the other hand, Director of the movie, Bryan Singer, revealed that Quicksilver will have a more intriguing and in-depth cut of his own in the said film. Furthermore, the newest franchise will also show more unique possibilities with Quicksilver's character, especially a father-to-son bonding scene with Magneto, revealed the movie's screenwriter, Simon Kinberg.

Catch "X-Men: Apocalypse" on screens this coming May 27, 2016.
