Good news! Loyal fans of Taylor Swift will have another thing to look forward to some time in the future. According to E! Online, Mariska Hargitay has recently revealed that she had talked to Swift about guest starring in the NBC hit "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit." Hargitay told Entertainment Tonight, "We just talked about it. We're going to wait until the end of the [1989 World] tour to see how it goes. But it's in the air." Mariska has recently worked with Taylor in her "Bad Blood" music video so Taylor might return the favor.
This means that it is going to be quite a long wait before Taylor Swift joins Hargitay's squad because her 1989 World Tour will run through mid-December. Nevertheless, it is most likely to happen so fans just have to wait for a little while. In the meantime, we can only wonder what cameo role Taylor Swift will take when she finally appears in the show. Hopefully she won't be a victim who ends up dead?
Moreover, according to E! Online, Taylor has named one of her cats after Mariska Hargitay's "Law & Order: SVU" character, Detective Olivia Benson. So fans can say that the likelihood of her to appear in NBC's long running drama is not farfetched. Fans might even have a hint of Swift's presence because "Law & Order: SVU" show runner Warren Leight told Entertainment Tonight, "We're thinking of naming a squad room cat Taylor." On the other hand, Hargitay said, "The squad room needs to get a cat or I need to get a cat and name it Taylor. Either one!"
Back in 2009, Taylor Swift guest starred as Haley Jones in the crime drama "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation." She did good acting back then so we can expect that she can definitely pull off any role if she guest stars in an episode of "Law & Order: SVU," which will return on NBC on Sept. 23, 9 p.m.
