Spoilers? 'Game of Thrones' Crew Just Played a Hilarious Prank on Fans

Production for "Game of Thrones" Season 6 is going full steam ahead, with the team shooting in multiple countries. Cast and crew are constantly hounded for spoilers, but they continue to remain serious about keeping major plots a surprise.

This week, while shooting a major scene at Girona Cathedral in Spain, the crew used a little bit of comedic trickery to throw sneaky on-set spies off their feet.

Locals and tourists alike flocked to the famous Spanish Cathedral, a known location for King's Landing scenes. Fans snapped photos of the filming's progress, and posted sneak peeks at the "GoT" fansite Watchers on the Wall.

One particular picture sent fans spiraling into a state of spoiler madness. The photo showed the set being covered in green screens while the crew gets ready for the shoot. Looks like an ordinary day on set, but look a little bit closer and you'll see the surprise.

Zoom in: a white walker dummy can be seen perched in one of the upper windows.

A white walker in King's Landing could mean major war! Is this a spoiler or a prank? Fans believe it is likely to be the latter.

They were quick to use logic to draw conclusions. White walkers have to get past The Wall, and then Winterfell, before their army can even reach King's Landing. For now, they can be appeased. The picture simply proves that no matter how the series can get brutal, the people working behind the cameras still have a sense of humor.

Vanity Fair noted that this isn't the first time "GoT" insiders used funny tactics to confuse fans. Last year, Lena Heady a.k.a. Cersei Lannister posted a picture of stones shaped like a heart on her Instagram account, with a caption that read: "my stone heart." Fans thought she was referring to Lady Stoneheart, or Catelyn Stark's zombie revival. This was just a prank on Heady's part, as we now know that the side plot in the novel didn't make it to the show.
