'Captain America: Civil War' Spoiler Alert: Baron Helmut Zemo will be Captain America's next adversary

Latest spoiler news surrounding "Captain America: Civil War" indicates that Baron Helmut Zemo will be the new adversary to join the movie's list of villains.

The news was spilled by actress Elizabeth Olsen, who plays Scarlet Witch, during an interview with France's Premiere, reports Movie Pilot. The role will be played by actor Daniel Bruhl, however, the exact details of his role has yet to be divulged. Meanwhile, during the interview, Olsen described Bruhl as an "incredible actor," before she revealed that the actor's character in "Captain America: Civil War" will be the "main villain in the movie." Aside from Bruhl's participation in the movie, Olsen also teased that the forthcoming sequel will be "darker."

She said, "So it's darker and it's allowed to be darker because it gets more in the mindset of humans rather than machines."

The Movie Pilot report also cited that in the comic books, the villain's title was shared between father and son. The father was called Baron Heinrich Zemo, while the son was named Baron Helmut Zemo. In "Captain America: Civil War," Bruhl would most likely play the son given the modern setting of the movie, states Movie Pilot.

Last month, it was reported that the superhero conflict in the upcoming "Captain America: Civil War" movie will stem from an incident which involved Crossbones, according to Cinema Blend. The reports then indicated that the massive explosion from Crossbones' vest would result to civilian casualties which sparked the movie's conflict. However, the movie trailer shown during August's D23 expo also showed Crossbones alive after a fight with Captain America. At this point, it is unsure whether Crossbones' vest explosion would be the incident that would incite the conflict in the movie. Although what has been confirmed so far is that the film will introduce superhero legislation or the Accords.

In the Cinema Blend report, the site also mentioned speculations that Baron Helmut Zemo may take advantage of the confusion surrounding the legislation to enact his evil plan. It won't also be a surprise if Zemo and Crossbones worked together to bring more mayhem and confusion to the superhero team.

Fans will need to wait for the movie's release to find out just how much trouble the villains will bring to "Captain America: Civil War."

"Captain America: Civil War" will be released May 2016.
