"Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain" game developer has released the "Quiet" bug fix, although it is for PC and PS4 for now.
"Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain" players have been informed last week, that, an inconvenient bug has been discovered in the game and may corrupt saved game files. Konami, the game developer, has now developed a fix for the said issue, but for the meantime, it is just for the PS4 and the PC only.
"Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain" file corruption only happens when choosing Quiet as a companion during the game, thus getting the moniker "Quiet Bug." All platforms were affected and no official word yet on when the issue will be fixed on the other platform.
"The 'Quiet bug' in #MGSVTPP has been fixed for PS4 and PC. The remaining platforms will follow soon! Stay tuned!" According to Konami's Twitter account.
"Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain" file corruption bug only happens on "Mission 29" and "Mission 42" when sniper Quiet was chosen as the players cohort. In this event, the game file becomes unusable and the player needs to go back to square one, and start all over again.
"Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain" fix is only available for the PS4 and the PC, but users of the other platforms such as Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 will still have the "Quiet Bug." It is therefore advised to use D-Walker instead, for the two missions that are bugged. D-Walker has just been promoted to S-rank prior to the said mission and will also be capable to be of assistance to the players of the game, as Reddit user klinestife explained.
"Metal Gear Solid" fans who are playing "MSG V: TPP" are being suggested to use other companion for "Mission 29" and "Mission 42" until Konami rolls out a patch for the gaming consoles with the "Quiet Bug." Konami is currently working on it and will patch the game up once it is ready.
