"Mr. Robot" season one just ended and before season two starts airing, stars of the hacker series Christian Slater, Rami Malek, and Portia Doubleday will join New York Comic Con 2015.
Lead stars for the new hit TV series "Mr. Robot" will be joining the New York Comic Con in October as part of their promotional activity for the show and the second season which is coming in 2016. Malek who plays the lead "Elliot Alderson" will participate in the panel discussion for the "Mr. Robot" along with cast members Slater, Doubleday, Carly Chaikin, Marton Wallstrom and creator Sam Esmail, according to MStars News.
Also from the report by MStars News, the last episode of season one showed an executive who works for Evil Corp shoot himself live on TV. FSociety launched its hack and got rid of world debt as it spreads its viral message. Elliot is looking for Tyrell as Angela is tempted by the power of Evil Corp. Mr. Robot is helpless to his hallucinations and takes over Elliot whom he gives orders to. As the credits were rolling in the last scene, White Rose is revealed to be a double agent for Evil Corp.
Meanwhile, according to HNGN, just one season into the show and Malek is already affected by the stuff he learns while filming the series. Contrary to his role as genius hacker "Elliot," Malek has now gotten wary of using a computer or even his phone when he realized that the dangers of being hacked are very real and it's pretty easy to have one's personal information get compromised. And the paranoia caused by "Mr. Robot" is not only affecting its lead star but other cast members as well.
Chaikin said, "I always leave my laptop open, and now it's an OCD thing that I have to close it all the time. I had tape over my camera that I keep having to take off because I would video-chat. Now I just make sure it's shut. It's more paranoia because I know what's possible."
