Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe will be returning with all new episodes in "Outlander" Season 2, as the Starz time traveler series takes on Diana Gabaldon's book number two, "Dragonfly in Amber." While Heughan and Balfe have been filming scenes for the upcoming season for months, showrunner Ron Moore revealed that they still had more scenes to shoot.
In a series of Q&As on Twitter, Moore revealed that they still had "six full episodes left to shoot," Carter Matt cited. The "Outlander" showrunner also admitted that Angus and Rupert will be returning to the show in season two, which will premiere this Spring.
Moore also seemingly reassured fans that the show will not be ending anytime soon, as the showrunner said that the show will end only when author, Diana Gabaldon "gets tired." Meanwhile, Moore also revealed that the actress who will be playing the role of Brianna Randall has not yet been cast.
However, Sam Heughan, who plays the role of Jamie Fraser in "Outlander," recently made many fans excited after re-tweeting a message about "Game of Thrones" actress Sophie Turner playing the role of Brianna Randall, Daily Record reported.
TheAnglophileChannel tweeted: "If she wasn't so busy with #GameOfThrones would Sophie Turner make a good #BriannaFraser? She is so striking!"
Some fans were thrilled at the idea of starring Turner in "Outlander" Season 2 as Claire's daughter while others did not seem to share the same sentiments.
