"Outlander" Season 2 will be covering Diana Gabaldon's second book in the series and will feature the return of Sam Heughan as Jamie Fraser, Caitriona Balfe as Claire Randall and Tobias Menzies as both Frank Randall and Black Jack Randall. While an official relate date for the sophomore season of the hit Starz series is yet to be announced, showrunner Ron Moore recently hinted of some changes in the series.
While fans of Gabaldon's series are already expecting what to see in the upcoming season of "Outlander," the showrunner said that changes will be made in order to surprise and scare fans.
"People across America are losing their minds. That's fantastic. I enjoy that," Moore told Three If By Space, according to Scotland Now.
While the upcoming season is expected to see the continuation of events from Season 1, Moore refused to share details about how the show will start when Season 2 premieres on TV.
"There are changes and differences; the second novel is more complex," he added.
One of the changes that were recently made known to fans and viewers was that of Brianna's character in the series. While Brianna's appearance in "Outlander" Season 2 has been expected by most fans, her character on the show had some key changes, including a part which was taken from Gabaldon's fourth book, "Drums of Autumn."
Starz is already conducting a casting call for the role and audition tapes of actors looking to land the role recently surfaced online, IB Times reported. Several of the leaked videos showed some actors enacting a scene between Brianna and Claire. The network has yet to officially make an announcement as to which actor will play the role of Brianna Randall.
