‘The Last Of Us 2’ Release Date Delayed! Naughty Dog Accidentally Confirms Sequel?

"The Last Of Us 2" is probably one of every fans' dream come true, as a sequel to the hit video game was not entirely expected among fans and gamers worldwide. However, in a recent livestream, Naughty Dogs' series writer Josh Scherr shushed speculations and seemingly confirmed that a sequel to the hit video game franchise was in the works.

Naughty Dog has seemingly broke all hell loose after "Uncharted 4" series writer Josh Scherr accidentally announced that "The Last of Us 2" was in the works, Den of Geek reported. Scherr was reportedly talking about "Uncharted's" facial animation when he suddenly mentioned about "the first 'The Last Of Us.'"

Scherr appeared to panic over his accidental announcement that a sequel was being made under everyone's radar, as he immediately said: "Did I say the first 'The Last Of Us?' Uh... the first of 'The Last Of Us.' 'The Last Of Us."

The outlet noted that it would be weird for Scherr to say that there was a first "The Last Of Us" if they were not planning on creating a sequel to the horror game. Meanwhile, fans are already excitedly anticipating for "The Last Of Us 2" after Naughty Dog's accidental confirmation of the sequel.

However, it looks like fans will have to wait a little bit longer for the sequel, as Christian Today pointed out that Naughty Dog is still focused on the development and release of "Uncharted 4." According to the outlet, "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" is expected to be released in spring of 2016, which means that "The Last Of Us 2" will not come out till 2017 or at a later date.

The outlet also noted that voice actor Nolan North seemingly hinted that a sequel to the video game was in the works.
