'Mortal Kombat X' Kombat Pack 2 DLC Updates: Ed Boon Rules Out Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

"Mortal Kombat X" fans have been wondering which of the four iconic characters would be added in the upcoming Kombat Pack 2 DLC.

As previously reported, while NetherRealm is keeping the four new characters under wraps, many fans speculate that Drahmin and Havik will be the most likely ones to be added as new playable characters, while Rain and Baraka, both being NPC's at the moment will be unlocked. It was also mentioned that Todd McFarlene, the cartoonist behind Spawn, has given his go signal for Nether Realm to add Spawn in "Mortal Kombat X" but fans did not really pay much attention.

There are those who even speculated that the four crim-fighting turtles from "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are the four new characters in "Mortal Kombat X" Kombat Pack 2 DLC. However, this theory was dispelled when Ed Boon tweeted a simple "No."

Aside from the Ninja Turtles, it has also been confirmed that neither Superman nor Batman will be part Kombat Pack 2 DLC. As previously reported, Ed Boon has said in an interview with Polygon, "I'd be hard-pressed to have a DC character as a downloadable character in Mortal Kombat X. The main reason is, I have no desire to cut Batman's head off. I have no desire to kill Superman."

After ruling out the Ninja Turtles, the fans continue to speculate who among The Joker, Sektor, Cyrax, Noob Saibot, Elvira, Indiana Jones, Neo, Rorschach, Marcus Fenix, Ash William, Alien, and Smoke would be the added in the much-awaited DLC, according to VC Post.

Up to now, there are still no solid clues pertaining to the mysterious four characters. As previously reported, Jason Voorhees from "Friday the 13th" was recently added to both the mobile version and console version of "Mortal Kombat X."

While waiting for Kombat Pack 2 DLC, fans can play "Mortal Kombat X" on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Android, Xbox One, iOS, Xbox 360 and PC. Kombat Pack 2 DLC could launch in early 2016.
