"MasterChef" Season 6 hosts Gordon Ramsay, Graham Elliot and Christina Tosi recently named Claudia Sandoval as the champion in the finale episode of the show. Claudia went head-to-head against Derrick Peltz for the title of "MasterChef," a trophy, a cookbook deal and a whopping cash prize of $250,000.
While many rejoiced over the show's first ever Latina winner, Celeb Dirty Laundry voiced out some of the fans' opinions on the show's season 6 winner. According to the outlet, the results were rigged and the finale round of the competition definitely showed that Derrick deserved the title more than Claudia.
The outlet pointed out that Derrick was more well-rounded when it comes to cooking different types of cuisines, unlike Claudia, who was more adept to only one cuisine - Mexican. In the finale episode of the competition, Claudia failed to get out of the box and instead, served her best Mexican dishes to the judges.
The outlet cited that Claudia had a story that could win the hearts of the audience, which seemingly shares similarities with previous "MasterChef" winners like Christine Ha and Courtney Lapresi. Several fans and viewers commented on the site's page and agreed with the writer's sentiments about the show's results.
Meanwhile, IB Times cited six facts about the "MasterChef" Season 6 winner, including her inspiration for joining the cooking show competition. According to the outlet, Claudia's mother has been her biggest culinary inspiration.
Claudia also revealed that she hopes to cook for the singing diva, Mariah Carey in the future should she be given the chance. She also revealed that "MasterChef" host Graham Elliot helped her to stay grounded and stay true to what she knows.
