"Dance Moms" has countlessly produced talented dancers in its five-season run on Lifetime. While the show has been renewed for season 6, many fans are wondering if lead star Maddie Ziegler will be following the footsteps of her best friend, Chloe Lukasiak and leaving the show for good. The 12-year-old dancer recently expressed her desire to star in a project similar to Jennifer Lawrence's film.
"Dance Moms" Season 6 is already underway with Abby Lee Miller holding casting calls in different areas in the US. However, there remains the uncertainty over Maddie Ziegler's return on the show, as the "Elastic Heart" dancer seemingly expressed doubts over her return for another season.
Ziegler recently landed a role in Sia's upcoming movie titled, "Sister" and expressed hope to star in a movie similar to Jennifer Lawrence's film, "The Hunger Games," Entertainment Tonight cited.
"I definitely want to be moving more into acting. Still keeping up my dancing, but also movies and scripted TV shows," she said.
Ziegler also gushed about Sia and had nothing but good words for the "Chandelier" singer.
"I feel like I'm just so comfortable with her every time I'm with her. I never feel like, 'Oh my god, I'm hanging out with a celebrity,'" Ziegler added.
Meanwhile, "Dance Moms" alum and Ziegler's best friend, Chloe Lukasiak recently underwent surgery after being diagnosed with Silent sinus syndrome. According to Design & Trend, Lukasiak is currently recovering from her surgery and has recently shared photos after the operation.
Lukasiak, who was criticized for having "lazy eyes," shared a photo of herself with her right eye covered with a notepad, with a message against bullying. Lukasiak also shared with her fans and followers a photo of Abigail Breslin's new book titled, "This May Sound Crazy," which kept her company during her recovery.
