The "Magi: Adventure of Sinbad" manga will soon have an anime series that will debut on MBS' Animeism block. This has been officially announced the official website of the Shinobu Ohtaka and Yoshifumi Ohtera's famous spinoff manga.
The recent report of Anime News Network says that the anime adaptation of the spinoff manga "Magi: Adventure of Sinbad" is underway and is scheduled for its TV airing on April 2016. This news has also been announced in the official website stating that the TV anime series "has been green-lit and is slated to air on the Animeism block of MBS.
The report also mentions that there were already 5 inspired original video animation episodes that had been included in the volumes of "Magi: Adventure of Sinbad" manga that have been shipped. In fact, the first episode of OVA was released with the 3rd volume of the spinoff manga in May 2014. The second OVA episode was shipped with the 4th volume in August 2014, then "3rd episode was shipped with the special edition of the 5th volume in December 2014. As for the 4th and 5th episodes of OVA, they were released with "with the special edition of the sixth volume of the manga this past April, and with the seventh volume in July," respectively.
The "Magi: Adventure of Sinbad" Original video animation series' main staff and voice actors will be returning for the TV Anime series. Yoshikazu Miyao has already signed to direct the anime series "at Lay-duce (Classroom Crisis) off scripts by Taku Kishimoto (Haikyu!!, Silver Spoon)." Souichirou Sako will be designing the characters while Tomohiro ﾅ渓ubo will be composing the music.
Fandom Post says that the TV series of "Magi: Adventure of Sinbad" will make use of what has been seen in the OVA series that had been bundled with the spinoff manga of Shinobu Ohtaka and Yoshifumi Ohtera. The cast of the TV anime adaptation has been revealed as well. Daisuke Ono will lend his voice for the character of Sinbad. Akira Ishida gives life to the character of Yunan, Tomokazu Sugita as Drakon, and Ai Kayano as Serendine. Katsuyki Konishi, Yoko Hikasa, Keiji Fujiawara will do the roles of Badr, Esra, and Hinahoho, respectively. Other characters like Jafar, Pipirika, Barbarossa and Baal will make use of the voices of Takahiro Sakurai, Ayumi Fujimura, Takehito Koyasu, and Hiroki Touchi, in corresponding order.
