‘Death Note’ & ‘Bakuman’ Creators ‘Tsugumi Ohba’ And ‘Takeshi Obata’ Reveal First Color Art For ‘Platinum End’ Manga

"Death Note" and "Bakuman" creators Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata have recently announced that they are reuniting again to write a new manga entitled "Platinum End." Now, the two manga artists have already unveiled the first color art of their upcoming manga series.

According to the report of Robot6, the creators of "Death Note" and "Bakuman" have finally debuted their new collaboration's color art. In a previous press release, Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata have described the new manga series that they are currently working on. They said that the story of the manga revolves around the character named Mirai Kakehashi, a young boy who loses his hope in being alive.

Anime News Network further states some details that are disclosed by the creators of "Death Note" and "Bakuman." It says that Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata also reveals that "Platinum End" will launch on November 4 and will be released in the December issue of Shueisha's Jump SQ magazine. But the special preview is already scheduled on October 5 in the Weekly Shonen Jump.

On a different note, Ohba and Obata have already released the "second half of a two-chapter prequel manga for their Bakuman. manga in the 44th issue on Monday." Both mangakas have become famous as they serialized "Death Note" and "Bakuman."

"Bakuman" had been serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from 2008 until 2012, while the supernatural suspense manga "Death Note" had been serialized in 2003-2006. The "Bakuman" manga had published more than 15 million copies of the manga's with 20 compiled volumes. "Death Note" on the other hand had printed over 30 million copies worldwide.
