‘Sword Art Online’ Movie News: Teaser Trailer Released at Dengeki Bunko Autumn Festival 2015; Soundtrack Revealed

The light novel series of Reki Kawahara "Sword Art Online" will soon have a movie adaptation. This news has been recently announced at the Dengeki Bunko Autumn Festival 2015, along with the announcement of a teaser trailer for the upcoming movie project.

Crunchyroll says that A-1 Pictures will handle the animation production of "Sword Art Online." The official announcement of the movie adaptation was made at the Dengeki Bunko Autumn Festival 2015. Report also says that the adaptation will be an original theatrical film. The director that has signed up to helm the project is Tomohiko Itō and believe it or not, the person penning the script for the upcoming movie project is none other than the author of the light novel himself, Reki Kawahara. Shingo Adachi will be joining the production team to do the character designs.

The announcement of the new theatrical film of "Sword Art Online" comes also with a teaser video, Anime News Network reports. According to Kadokawa, more details will also be revealed in the upcoming issue of Dengeki Bunko Magazine, which will be released on October 10.

Aside from the information of the production team that will be working on the "Sword Art Online" anime movie, the new sound track of the "SAO" has been disclosed during the said event on Sunday. The music collection of "SAO" will feature 131 songs. The merchandise is entitled "Sword Art Online Music Collection," and will be available on Jan. 27 in Japan. In addition, the said the collection will feature the music of Yuki Kajiura that are composed for the series. Some of the songs are also from the tracks that have not been released on the 4 CD's. It will also come with a bonus BD disc, which stored footages from "Kajiura's live performance at the February 1 "Sword Art Online: Sing All Overtures" event."
