It is still months before the return of "Person of Interest" however, the news that we are hearing on the mid-season of Season 5 unfolds that the challenges are piled up against the series, the question is, will it be renewed for Season 6?
On the positive note, CBS is not thinking of cancelling "Person of Interest" Season 5. At the same time, Season 1 to 3 of the series is being shown in WGN and Netflix. Is there a possibility that CBS isn't really cancelling the show, although ratings are just pressuring them to?
In an interview with Indie Wire, Michael Emerson disclosed that there are two characters coming this season and these are Carrie Preston and Sarah Shahi, and both will be back to continue their roles.
The series is used to showing multiple consecutive episodes having one plot, like having 13 episodes before reaching the exciting climax.
Greg Plageman, the Executive Producer of the show, said "To sustain the excitement and the serialized aspects for that long... But I think this year, with the 13 episodes, the really great part about that is that we're just building and building throughout. And what we have planned for the final three episodes of Season 5 is amazing."
Furthermore, Emerson hinted what fans should anticipate in the upcoming season of "Person of Interest." In Season 5, he will basically delve into the reprogramming and rebuilding of the Machine. Emerson is a rich software engineer played by Harold Finch.
During the Season 4 finale of "Person of Interest," it didn't take a while for CBS to confirm Season 5 of the show. The show usually runs at 23 episodes, however, CBS only got 13 episodes this season. This ignites the speculations that the show won't have a Season 6.
