Steam has permitted a game called "Gabe Newell Simulator," which can let the players release "Half-Life 3" to the public, fictitiously.
Developed by Antonio Renna, the "Gabe Newell Simulator," is a third-person shooter (TPS) and features Valve's Co-Founder Gabe Newell as the protagonist. Players will be playing as Gabe Newell and will fight off monsters and aliens that have occupied Valve's building, as posted on Steam's community website.
"Gabe Newell Simulator" is a game for those who have always dreamed of being the glorious PC Master Race Gabe Newell," developer Antonio Renna wrote on the official "Gabe Newell Simulator" Steam store page.
"You can impersonate Gaben and help him in his fight against other companies and make the decision to release Half Life 3 or not, and this will have drastic consequences in the whole universe! Explore the different rooms and corridors of Valve Corporation (many inspired by real ones), the secret lab and... their space station!" As the description continued.
Now, many fans are actually waiting for "Half-Life 3," in which the last installment was 2007 with "Half-Life 2: Episode 2," and this simulation game does not give any hint about it.
Now, in this game, with Gabe Newell as the character, one can either release "Half-Life 3" to the public or just keep it forever from the public, as reported by Tech Times.
On a side note, just recently, a fan had a discovered some hidden secret in Valve's MOBA game "Dota 2." According to a Twitter user Steam Database, who simply took a quick peek inside the files and stumbled upon a text-based file named hl3.txt.
This discovery has made a lot of speculations within the community, on the true meaning of this file, and the reason why the file was included. Many are hoping that this is a piece of a puzzle that will release "Half-Life 3." However, the actual file does not divulge any information with the rumored game.
"Gabe Newell Simulator" is available for $6.78.
