David and Victoria Beckham are reportedly on the lookout for a new house, while their West London home is currently being renovated. According to Mirror UK, it seems like the Beckhams have found their dream home, and it's fit for royalty.
According to reports, the king of the soccer field and the queen of the fashion runway have been spotted viewing the Grade II-listed country estate called "Abbotswood Estate" near Stow-on-the-Wold in Cotswolds. The huge country manor, which looks like a page from an English fairytale, is listed at £27 million, or roughly $41.7 million. It is reportedly the most expensive country home in all of the U.K.
The main house takes after a traditional English manor, made of bricks and stones. According to Mirror, it is "24 times bigger than an average house," with its 10 bedrooms and six baths.
The interiors are decked with lavish old-English decor, much like those in royal apartments. There are huge renaissance paintings, gold and crystal chandeliers, thick drapes, and ornate furniture.
Outside, the manor opens up to a massive, perfectly landscaped courtyard. The estate is so large that it is enough to accommodate 380 football pitches, enough grounds for the Beckham brood to play on. Aside from the main house, there are also 13 separate buildings scattered in the area. To complete the English country vibe, the land is also home to a mixture of livestock and some 1,800 sheep.
Meanwhile, another report from Telegraph UK suggests that the Beckham family is looking at another estate nearby, a smaller--and much cheaper--house, priced at £5.4 million ($8.3 million). The property is also an old but majestic manor, with six bedrooms and six receiving areas.
Either way, should the couple decide to move their family in the area, they will be neighbors to other famous celebrities, including Kate Moss and Sam Mendes.
David and Victoria have four children: Brooklyn, 16, Romeo, 13, Cruz, 10, and Harper, 4.
