'Five Nights at Freddy's 4' Halloween Updates: Scott Cawthon says, "There Will Be Two Releases"

"Five Nights At Freddy's" creator Scott Cawthon seems very busy lately as he continues to deliver surprises for the fans for the point-and-click survival horror game "Five Nights At Freddy's 4".

The fourth and last "Five Nights At Freddy's" installment is getting special Halloween update. As previously announced via Steam, "Five Nights At Freddy's 4" will receive an automatic update that will bump the game to its version 1.1 with lots of extras especially for those who have gone past night 6. The update will also include a cheat menu, challenge menu and a version of the classic mini-game.

In addition, as previously reported, he will have something playable by Oct 31 or if that won't be ready in time, he will either release a demo or a trailer.

In Scott's latest statement via an update Steam page, he has admitted got into a sticky situation because he isn't done with cheat menu, challenge menu and the updated mini-game. On the brighter side, has announced that there will be two releases on Halloween as a solution. As written on Steam, the "Five Nights At Freddy's" creator said, "On Halloween there will be two releases.

"One will be the content update for the official game, updating it to 1.1. This version is canon, as it always has been. This update will include the features originally promised such as the new challenges and cheats.

"The second release will be a special Halloween edition of FNaF4, with a few changed characters and other cosmetic changes. This game is not canon, and is only for fun for the holidays. (this version will be free as well)"

He concluded his statement by saying that if everything goes as planned, players should have two launch choices on Oct 31, the Standard Edition and the Halloween Edition.

And to tease fans with the Halloween update for "Five Nights at Freddy's 4", Cawthon again has updated his website with shadowed version of another animatronic. Last week, he posted an image of what seems to be a spookier version of Bonnie. Now the website shows what seems to be a nightmare version of Balloon Boy from "Five Nights at Freddy's 2."

For those who want to download "Five Nights at Freddy's 4" standard edition before the Halloween update, the game is currently available for Android, iOS, and PC.
