"Mortal Kombat X' New Characters Update: DLC to Possibly Unlock Some Non-Playable Characters

Fans of the arcade fighting game "Mortal Kombat X" might get a chance to see more iconic movie characters joining the cast of fighters when the latest DLC is released next year.

According to MNR Daily, the previous "Mortal Kombat X" DLC delivered to the the infamous killer Jason Vorhees from "Friday the 3th" film series and the alien killer from the "Predator" film series. The sinister characters where joined by Sonya, Tremor and Tanya in the first DLC pack. The first DLC was well received so there is a chance that more movie characters will be added through the upcoming DLC.

When the new DLC pack comes, there is also a chance that Baraka could be one of the four characters previously teased. Baraka is currently an unplayable opponent therefore instead of bringing a new face to the existing cast, he could just be unlocked, therefore becoming playable. There are also rumors saying that Rain, Smoke or Cyrax could be the new characters since they are said to be three of the the highly requested characters.

On the other hand, there is also a buzz that the next DLC pack could include characters and even dinosaurs from Jurassic Park.

These rumors or these characters being included in the next DLC started after Ed Boon posted messages on his Twitter account starting way back April of this year. For example, in April, he tweeted, "@LazyEyedJ @noobde So Ed are you secretly gonna patch in the NPC's from story to make them playable? EB: U mean like a "Story Pack"?" And the following thread mentioned a whole array of characters that would possibly be considered for the next pack.

In a previous report, it was mentioned that Todd McFarlane has given NetherRealm his permission to use Spawn in Mortal Kombat X.

The speculations will surely continue until the next DLC additions are officially released sometime in 2016.
