Cinema Blend reports that "Limitless" TV series is accomplishing something in its freshman run. The TV adaptation of Bradley Cooper's movie will get another 9 more episodes at CBS. It has been noted that that not all new TV series gets full episode run these days.

Report says that "Limitless" is not far-fetched of having season 2, "although it is too early to make an official declaration at this point." But statistics show that the American crime drama television series gets the #2 spot based on total viewers. The show "has been earning 11.43 million total viewers each week, and it is also doing pretty well with the 18-49 crowd and has also crushed out in terms of DVR viewing."

TV Wise UK says that "Limitless" TV series is "one of the few success stories." As mentioned earlier, it ranks as the secondth top rated new TV series among 5 networks for 2015-2016 broadcast season. "In the demo, the series is averaging a 2.4, rating, boosting the time-slot by 9% year-to-year."

The show is commended for its strong start and how it thrives from strong competitions from other shows and networks. "We're excited how 'Limitless' continues to evolve creatively each week and stand out with its unique style of storytelling," the newly appointed CBS president for Entertainment Glenn Geller said.

Speaking of its plot and storytelling, a different report mentions that Bradley Cooper is returning to the show as Ed Morra. Cooper first got the lead role in the "Limitless" movie. He appeared in the premiere episode of the TV series, but spoilers of the show suggest that he would return in episode 6.

IBTimesrecalls the events in the latest episode of "Limitless" wherein it was made clear to Brian Finch, played by Jake McDorman, that he must cooperate with Sen. Ed Morra, otherwise he would not be getting the super vaccine, that remains hidden to many.

If remembered in the previous episodes of "Limitless," "Finch revealed to the mysterious Mr. Sands (Colin Salmon) that he's looking into the death of Rebecca Harris' (Jennifer Carpenter) father. This proves irksome to Sands, who wants Brian to simply do his job and not take on side projects, especially when those side projects flirt with the FBI learning about Morra's connection to NZT." Things might get ugly in the upcoming episode as preview video shows that Finch has to remove Rebecca from the picture.

"Limitless" has so many surprises and twists, no wonder this show gets the second spot as top rated new TV series. Getting a complete 22 episodes for season 1 is definitely expected.
