The cards are set for Queen Cora's comeback as hit fantasy series "Once Upon a Time" nears its 100th episode.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Barbara Hershey, who plays the role of Cora and Regina's (Lara Parrilla) mother, will be back on set for "Once Upon a Time" Season 5. Cora, also popularly known as "The Queen of Hearts," is an all-time favorite villain of ABC's hit TV show.
Cora was last seen in a flashback episode wherein a younger version of herself, played by Rose McGowan, attempted to steal the Dark One's dagger. However, the red head villain was killed by Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin) before she could continue on with her vile plans.
While it is still unclear whether Cora is back for good or is simply apprearing through a flashback, there are speculations that the show is cooking up a surprise or a big reveal for OUAT Episode 100. The fifth season is set to air its spring premiere in March 2016.
Meanwhile, as past characters get back on set, new cast members will be introduced for this show's current season. The Hollywood Reporter reveals that fans can expect Merida's parents to be appearing sometime soon. "Doctor Who" actress Caroline Morahan and "Sons of Anarchy" actor Glenn Keogh will be playing as Queen Elinor and King Fergus, respectively. Sources say that the two may be appearing as a memory of the past since Merida mentioned earlier in the series that "her father is dead." Merida's character was inspired by the 2012 Disney Pixar's movie, "Brave."
Morahan and Keogh will appear in the two-hour episode on Nov. 15. The premiere shows that Merida will team up with other familiar characters, Ruby (Meghan Ory) and Mulan (Jamie Chung) for another adventurous journey in Storybrooke.
