"Halo 5" from 343 Industries and Microsoft Studios has just been released for Xbox One. And besides Cortana not being naked in the "Halo" game, there are talks surrounding the game that split-screen feature is making a come-back for "Halo 6."
According to Games Radar, "Halo" franchise director Frank O'Connor has explained why "Halo 5: Guardians" lack split-screen. He said that the split-screen feature was a necessary sacrifice to keep the game running at 60 frames per second. But he also hinted that the feature is not gone forever even if it is not possible for the latest Halo franchise. He said, "Realistically, for Halo 5, it's not something we can just throw in a patch. It's just not feasible with the way the engine works."
He continued, "Splitscreen is fun for me too. It's not something that I object to, and we would've loved to put it in," O'Connor said. "We'll talk about it for the next game, and we'll talk about it for the future."
According to Cinema Blend, many fans were furious that the split-screen feature was not present in "Halo 5." It has always been regarded as a staple feature in the "Halo" series. Many fans found it thrilling to play the game with a buddy side-by-side. Hopefully the more solid 60 FPS game experience would appease the furious fans.
In another news, New England Patriots' Rob Gronkowski appeared in last night's episode of "The Late Show With Stephen Colbert" dressed as Master Chief. According to GameSpot, Gronkowski was promoting "Halo 5: Guardians." Moreover, the NFL star has revealed that so far depended on all the money he's made from his marketing deals, like this one with Microsoft, which is why he claims that he has not yet spent a single penny from his NFL earning.
"Halo 5: Guardians" is now out and exclusively available for Xbox One.
