"That '70s Show," a late 90s to early 2000 hit comedy series, is close to celebrating its 20th anniversary. This has led to recent speculations that a reunion of the show's cast members is soon to come.
In an interview with the Huffington Post, Topher Grace, one of the stars of the iconic show, was asked about a possible reunion special for the comedy series soon. According to the actor, while he would love to have a reunion and was willing to reprise his role as Eric Forman, it would be hard to have an actual reunion at this time.
The "Win a Date with Tad Hamilton" star said that all the main actors of the show are busy with their individual careers that rounding them up to shoot the special might be a challenge. The 37-year-old actor himself is busy with his film career and has an upcoming movie, titled "Trust."
The other stars currently are active in their acting projects as well. Laura Pepon stars in the hit TV series "Orange is the New Black," while Wilmer Valderrama is part of the new series "Minority Report." Ashton Kutcher is preparing for a new series on Netflix, while his "That '70s Show" co-star and now wife Mila Kunis has a project with "Family Guy" plus a film career. Danny Masterson, who played Steven Hyde, is also with Kutcher on the Netflix gig. On the other hand, Lisa Robin Kelly, who played Grace's sister in the classic comedy show, unfortunately passed away in 2013.
With former cast members having such busy schedules, getting a reunion special for the comedy series would be nearly impossible. Yet, the 20th anniversary of the show will not be until 2018 so maybe in a year or two, the cast might find a break to get together and shoot.
Furthermore, Grace said that everyone from the show has remained good friends and that they see each other once in a while to have good laugh. This only means that fans do not have to count out a 20th anniversary reunion just yet.
"That '70s Show" ran for eight years from 1998 to 2006 on FOX Network.
