"Bloodborne," one of the arguably most challenging games ever to be released, is adding a new nightmare to its collection. Hardcore fans of the game are expecting the "Old Hunters" expansion pack, coming out within this month.
Along with the pack, the game has recently announced that they will be releasing a major update containing new content. The good news: it's free! According to the PlayStation Blog, the upcoming patch will offer new features for all players--even those who didn't order the "Old Hunters" DLC.
The main content of the patch is The League, a group of non-player characters which gamers can summon during tricky situations and when fighting difficult bosses.
According to the blog: "The League is a band of Hunters who have taken an oath and are bound by a single purpose. By aligning yourself to The League, led by a mysterious figure in a constable's garb and bucket helmet, you can assist other players online in the game and compete in The League's online rankings leaderboard."
In addition to The League, new weapons will also be unlocked, including The League Cane and a sword called the Holy Moonlight Sword with mysterious powers.
"Bloodborne" has not announced the exact date when the patch will be available for download, but LazyGamer suggests that it will be released before the launch of "Old Hunters," coming out later this month.
Meanwhile, the game also has a special treat for all its hardcore players. Those who have already earned their Platinum Trophy will very soon get an exclusive theme for PlayStation users.
"Old Hunters" DLC is now open for pre-order for the price of $19.99. The original game plus the "Old Hunters" is also on sale for $49.99. It will be released this Nov. 24.
