"Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" has been buzzing around the world wide web because of some terms that fans do like to conform. But despite this "No-maj" controversy, the upcoming Harry Potter prequel has more to reveal to its excited fans across the globe.
So what's new with the movie adaptation of "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them?" Entertainment Weekly has gleaned interesting updates while visiting the set in London.
EW says that the Harry Potter Spinoff, "Fantastic Beasts," does not mainly focus on the life of one character, but on four main characters. Although, in the previous announcement, the studio admitted that the movie adaptation is broadly based on the 2001 book of J.K. Rowling, but it is not necessarily focused on the adventure of the main character, Newt Scamander. The prequel of Harry Potter also involves the characters of "Tina (Katherine Waterston), Queenie (Alison Sudol), and Jacob (Dan Fogler)."
In addition, it is also revealed that "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" movie setting will be in New York in 1926. However, it might be set in the former time of the 20's, but the "Fantastic Beast" would feel more modern as compared to the Harry Potter movies. This is because the place is not confined in the four walls of a Scottish castle. The characters in the spinoff movie get to go around the large bustling city of New York.
Fans have to anticipate that in "Fantastic Beast," the American wizarding community in 1926 is quite different. The group operates underground, and they are afraid of persecution by the Muggle, which in the movie called "No-Maj."
It is also expected that "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" is not like the Harry Potter movies. As explained by The Mary Sue, "no Ministry of Magic but a Magical Congress." Also, characters in the movie of "Fantastic Beasts" are young adults, there are no kids among the main cast.
And one more exciting news about the "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" is that it won't be the first and last Harry Potter sequel. It has been revealed that this is going to be a series of movies as J.K Rowling will continue to write. To date, there are 2 movies that are already planned out.
